Based on a chapter from Rahul Singh & Shiv Aroor's book, India’s Most Fearless, ‘Avrodh’ may be a detailed account of the 2016 Uri strike , with some creative liberties taken by the creators.
With tension palpable within the air, from the very first episode, ‘Avrodh’ hooks you directly . The series which spans across nine episodes celebrates the courage of the Indian soldiers because it takes the viewer through numerous operations, while build up to the ultimate strike . The retaliation to the ghastly terrorist attacks in Uri in 2016 has been dramatized once earlier within the 2019 blockbuster Hindi film, Uri – The strike directed by Aditya Dhar.

Anil George as Abu Hafiz maintains a chilling presence. albeit Amit Sadh as Major Videep Singh makes an entry into the show a couple of episodes down the road , his impeccable and committed performance stands out.
